I have been a BIG Star Wars fan my entire life so I'm trying not to be biased with this review. This AT-ST is part of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collectors Series. I have slowly been trying to collect the entire series and decided to add this unit right before Christmas. I just built this thing last week with my wife (yes, we are uber nerds hehe) and it took us about 2-3 hours to complete this AT-ST. As others have written, this is a great collector item, but not suitable as a toy. I'd recommend Battle of Endor for a a walker as a toy.

I bought this for my 9-year-old son who loves legos and is extremely good at them. He has put together numerous 1000+ lego sets on his own including the sandcrawler & general grevious. Of all his lego sets, this is the one that he has needed help. Its very difficult to understand how to get the sides into the pins. It took me days to figure out. Even when it is in correctly it falls apart easily. This is not a set you can play with or even touch as the whole thing just crumbles. However, it is ... Read More

I've always been a LEGO lover at heart. The AT-ST is another fine LEGO set in the Star Wars line. It is more of a collectors item though, I'll warn you. If your buying this for your 8 year old son, don't. Not that it is fragile, but it is certainly not as durable as some of their sets.
I have it up in my office displayed.
