The Curse of Blackmoor Manor was the first Nancy Drew game I had purchased, played, finished and thoroughly enjoyed. Nancy is called to the mysterious moors of England to check up on her old neighbor, Linda Petrov-Penvellyn who is ill under unusual circumstances. Shortly after moving into the ancient estate with her husband and step-daughter Jane, Linda came too close to a heavily veiled family secret, and now is suffering the consequences. Is she turning into the Blackmoor Beast, a werewolf-like ... Read More

I played this game with my dad and my cousin, we thought it would be a lot of fun, but it turned out to be close to impossible for us, even my dad. Getting through the maze, even with cheats, was incredibly hard and you need to do it many times. It says ages 10 and up. but it should say ages 20 and up , the only way to beat the game is with the cheats. Some of the game you play with the little girl are fun, but some just drive you crazy, and require way too much knowledge of astrology and chemistry and ... Read More

My wife and I love these point-and-click mysteries, and this one is the best of the five Nancy Drew ones we've tried. We've resorted to online walkthroughs in the past, but with this one we were able to do the entire thing on Senior Detective level, on our own. (Ok, so the game was written for teenagers, but who's counting?)
The puzzles really make you think, and you have to explore EVERYTHING to get all the clues. Some of the puzzles involve interpreting images which remind you of something ... Read More

I thought the graphics and storyline for this game were great, but I was less satisfied with this title than some of the previous ones I've played.
Positives -
===============================
1. Beautiful "scenery" and easy navigation (for the most part). In other titles, I have sometimes had a hard time making Nancy go just where I wanted, due primarily to poorly placed hotspots and the like.
2. I liked Jane's games, and spent a lot of time just playing them. These ... Read More

In this game, Nancy Drew, girl detective, is over in England at an old castle to check up on her neighbor's daughter, who just recently married. But all is not well. What started out as an innocent visit to an ailing friend turns into a search for a legendary 600 year old beast. Explore secret passageways, solve ancient puzzles and solve the mystery once and for all in Nancy Drew Curse of Blackmoor Manor.
Ok, now that that's done, this game was utterly amazing. once you start, you ... Read More
